The Style Hunt: Spring Carnival looks for under $200
The Spring Racing Carnival is here and the fashion stakes are high. This season, Spring Racing trends are classic and traditional. Pastels, Monochrome and prints are all the rage and you don’t have to break the bank to look great! With some of the major race days looming in our sights, it’s time to get busy if you want to find the perfect outfit.
So, here is my guide to some classy pieces, without breaking the budget…
DERBY DAY
Melbourne’s dream theme…MONOCHROME!
Have some fun by going with a monochrome print instead of color blocking.
OAKS DAY
Otherwise known as “Ladies Day”. Think soft materials and pretty prints. This season is all about pastels and Oaks days is the perfect day to showcase this.
MELBOURNE CUP
It is the day to be BOLD! Go all out and make your own fashion statement. Trending this season is faux leather, sports luxe and metallic.
STAKES DAY
Otherwise known as “Family Day”, so comfort is key. Adopt a more ‘low key’ approach to your outfit, swap out heels for wedges, and loose tailoring. Perfect opportunity to take advantage of this seasons 70’s Boho style.
and… For the Men
Men, dare to embrace prints and color. Subtle checkered suits with splashes of color are right on trend and will make a statement.
What will you be wearing to the races?
