Casual Winter Warmers
I have always been a big fan of winter basics and live in them when I’m not in my formal work attire and on the weekends. There is nothing better than a causal, comfy, stylish outfit.
Here are my absolute staple pieces to have in your wardrobe, you can even try mixing and matching them together.
On the Top
Chunky Knits/Jumpers
Big knits are in and they are so comfortable and stylish. You can get some great jumpers to throw over your jeans. You can also layer underneath to keep extra warm.
Sleeveless Vest
Sleeveless vests look great over a turtleneck and offers versatility in unpredictable weather. Always works best with neutral tones like black, navy, cream and khaki.
Keeping it Comfy
Skinny Jeans
Is my absolute go to and I especially love them high waisted. They fit snug, keep you tight and the skinny leg looks tidy with sneakers.
Track Pant
There are some cool ones around at the moment that don’t come across too sporty. Decjuba and Seed have some great styles.
When you are on the go
Sneakers/High Tops
White sneakers are a must and you can get some great ones from Converse.
Flats
Apart from the sneaker, nothing is more comfortable than these and will allow you to walk for long stretches at a time.
and the stylish winter warmers…
Cap/Beannie
From a sporty cap to a leather cap, this trend is great as you can keep warm and cover up those bad hair days.
The knit beanie is more of a snug style, which shows a more subtle look.
Scarf
Cable knit scarfs are always best as a winter warmer but stick with neutral tones.
Watch
And of course you can’t go past a good staple Daniel Wellington watch to complete your weekend look.
These are my favourite winter, casual basics. Wear one piece, mix them or try a whole outfit.
Keep warm and stay comfy. X
