Summer trends: Festival makeup looks

By  |

Summer is coming and the weather is (hopefully) heating up, which means in just a few short weeks festival season will be upon us!

Nat showed us some festival fashion on Tuesday, so I have some of the makeup trends you are likely to catch as you flit around in the sunshine.

There’s no time like a festival to add a little sparkle to your look like this. Shine bright with a gorgeous dusting of glitter over your cheekbones and finish off with some lash glue and gold stars from your favourite arts and craft shop. So simple!

Get the look with Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner $33

This is perfect if you want to add a little bit of a bohemian feel to your makeup look. Go for soft smokey eyes, glowing cheeks and add a few jewels to your look like our girl Vanessa has.

If you want more of a subtle look, just pop a couple at the corners of your eyes.

Get the look with Manicare Glam Crystal Face & Body Jewels $8.09. These little gems are self adhesive, so no need to worry about glue.

The iconic summer-time look, luminous and bronzed (envious sigh). This polished and fresh look is simple and perfect for a more toned down look. Contour the cheeks and add plenty of luminizer to your cheekbones for the perfect summer glow.

Get the look with Becca Highlight/Lowlight Palette Pressed $73. Contour and highlight with this compact little palette, perfect to take camping or to fit in your hand bag.

Nothing screams festival like metallic temporary tattoos. This look is for the party girls who want to go all out. Pop them on your face, arms, hands… pretty much any party of your skin that sees the sunlight.

Get the look with Temporary Tattoos from Etsy $17.39

These are my favourite looks I’ll be wearing this festival season, what are yours?

See you in the sunshine xxxx
