Start your day right: The benefits of oats

By  |

Start your day with a bowl of oats!🥣🍓🍌

Did you know a cup of oats, packs 5g of protein and an impressive 4g of fibre, which helps regulate your body’s sugar usage to keep your hunger in check.

The high fibre content in oats can also aid the digestive system and help promote weight loss.

Oats are also rich in plenty of good-for-you minerals such as phosphorus and magnesium.

This protein packed breakfast keeps me fuller far longer then my usual smoothie or pan fried omelette.

In the past, I would normally start craving a snack around 10am, but now my oatmeal bowls keep me satisfied until closer to noon, and sometimes even longer.

Sure, some days I still need the extra snack earlier on, but I’ve noticed a major difference in the frequency of my morning hunger cues.
So try switch up your morning breakfast routine with a colourful bowl of porridge!

“Get creative” make the toppings look visually appealing!

Recipe:
1/2 a cup of rolled oats
1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk (soak over night)
A hand full of freshly sliced strawberries
A handful of fresh blueberries
1/2 a small banana peeled and sliced.

Oats can be lots of fun, yummy, really healthy and enjoyable.

Enjoy!
